Serge Ramin – Partner
Serge focuses on investment analysis, structuring and workouts for Atlante. He brings extensive structuring and investment experience in private markets - credit and equity. He has over 25 years’ experience in financial services and advising funds on private investments.
Previously, Serge was SVP, Global Risk and Governance, for Hudson Advisors, the asset manager of Lone Star Funds, a $70 billion AUM private equity investor. He monitored the Lone Star private equity portfolio including corporate acquisitions, real estate, and stressed and distressed loan- and security- portfolios, assessing the risk profile and developing risk management strategies on behalf of the investment committee.
Prior to Hudson Advisors, Serge was the Head of Research for CQS, a $17 billion credit focused hedge fund. At CQS, he oversaw a team of fundamental analysts supporting long-only credit and equity-linked investments and arbitrage strategies. He also originated and negotiated private debt investments in growth companies, and led the restructuring of the Euromedica convertible bond.
Prior to CQS, Serge spent 11 years in leveraged finance origination and execution in Europe, latterly as a Managing Director for Bear Stearns.
Serge is fluent in English, French and German. He holds a MBA with a concentration in finance from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and an undergraduate degree in accounting from ESCP, Paris, France.
